What the Bible says about repentance (turning away from ... sin):

    Luke 13:3
    - "Nay, I tell you, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."

Luke 24:46-48 - “This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things."

Acts 3:19 - “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.”

Jeremiah 25:4-6 - “And the Lord has sent to you all His servants the prophets again and again, but you have not listened nor inclined your ear to hear, saying, ‘Turn now everyone from his evil way and from the evil of your deeds . . . and do not go after other gods to serve them and to worship them and do not provoke Me to anger with the work of your hands, and I will do you no harm.”

Luke 5:32 - “I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

Ezekiel 18:21 - "But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die. . ."

Acts 17:30 - "And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men everywhere to repent.

Ezekiel 18:31 - ". . . Cast away from you all your transgressions which you have committed and make yourselves a new heart and a new spirit! . . ."

Luke 13:3 - "I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."

Matthew 3:8 - "Change your hearts! And show by the way you live that you have changed."

Matthew 4:17 - "From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand"

Matthew 11:20 - "Then He began to denounce the cities in which most of His miracles were done, because they did not repent."

Matthew 13:14-15 - "In their case the prophecy of Isaiah is being fulfilled, which says,

    You will keep on hearing, but will not understand;

You will keep on seeing, but will not perceive

Otherwise they would see with their eyes, Hear with their ears,

And understand with their heart and return, and I would heal them."

Acts 2:38 - "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."

James 5:19-20 - ". . . know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins."

What the Bible says about God's JUDGMENT:

1 Peter 4:17-19 - "It is time for judging to begin. That judging will begin with God’s family. If it begins with us, then what will happen to those who don’t accept the Good News of God?"

Matthew 7:1-5 - "Don’t judge others, and God will not judge you . . . God will treat you the same way you treat others.

Matthew 12:36 - "But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment."

Romans14 - "So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. Let us not therefore judge one another anymore: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block or an occasion to fall in [his] brother's way."

2 Chronicles 30:9 - “For the Lord your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him.”

    Psalm 1

1 "Great blessings belong to those
who don’t listen to evil advice,

    who don’t live like sinners,
and who don’t join those who make fun of God.

Instead, they love the Lord’s teachings
and think about them day and night.

    So they grow strong,
like a tree planted by a stream--

a tree that produces fruit when it should
and has leaves that never fall.

    Everything they do is successful.

But the wicked are not like that.

They are like chaff that the wind blows away.

When the time for judgment comes, the wicked will be found guilty.

Sinners have no place among those who do what is right.

The Lord shows his people how to live,
but the wicked have lost their way."

    Isaiah 3

10 "Tell the good people who do what is right that good things will happen to them. They will receive a reward for what they do.

11 But it will be very bad for wicked people, because they, too, will get what they deserve. They will get what they did to others.

12 Even children will defeat my people, and women will rule over them.

My people, your guides lead you the wrong way, and they destroy the path you should follow."

Recently, God has been pulling me toward Repentance and Judgment. Which side will you be on?

    Matthew 7:7-28

    Be Careful About Criticizing Others

1 "Don’t judge others, and God will not judge you.

If you judge others, you will be judged the same way you judge them. God will treat you the same way you treat others.

Why do you notice the small piece of dust that is in your friend’s eye, but you don’t notice the big piece of wood that is in your own?

Why do you say to your friend, ‘Let me take that piece of dust out of your eye’? Look at yourself first! You still have that big piece of wood in your own eye.

You are a hypocrite! First, take the wood out of your own eye. Then you will see clearly to get the dust out of your friend’s eye.

Don’t give something that is holy to dogs. They will only turn and hurt you. And don’t throw your pearls to pigs. They will only step on them.

Ask God for What You Need

Continue to ask, and God will give to you. Continue to search, and you will find. Continue to knock, and the door will open for you.

Yes, whoever continues to ask will receive. Whoever continues to look will find. And whoever continues to knock will have the door opened for them.

Do any of you have a son? If he asked for bread, would you give him a rock?

10 Or if he asked for a fish, would you give him a snake? Of course not!

11 You people are so bad, but you still know how to give good things to your children. So surely your heavenly Father will give good things to those who ask him.

    A Very Important Rule

12 Do for others what you would want them to do for you. This is the meaning of the Law of Moses and the teaching of the prophets.

The Way to Heaven and the Way to Hell

13 You can enter true life only through the narrow gate. The gate to hell is very wide, and there is plenty of room on the road that leads there. Many people go that way.

14 But the gate that opens the way to true life is narrow. And the road that leads there is hard to follow. Only a few people find it.

What People Do Shows What They Are

15 Be careful of false prophets. They come to you and look gentle like sheep. But they are really dangerous like wolves.

16 You will know these people because of what they do. Good things don’t come from people who are bad, just as grapes don’t come from thorn bushes, and figs don’t come from thorny weeds.

17 In the same way, every good tree produces good fruit, and bad trees produce bad fruit.

18 A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot produce good fruit.

19 Every tree that does not produce good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

2You will know these false people by what they do.

21 Not everyone who calls me Lord will enter God’s kingdom. The only people who will enter are those who do what my Father in heaven wants.

22 On that last Day many will call me Lord. They will say, Lord, Lord, by the power of your name we spoke for God. And by your name we forced out demons and did many miracles.

23 Then I will tell those people clearly, Get away from me, you people who do wrong. I never knew you.

    Two Kinds of People

24 Whoever hears these teachings of mine and obeys them is like a wise man who built his house on rock.

25 It rained hard, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house. But it did not fall because it was built on rock.

26 Whoever hears these teachings of mine and does not obey them is like a foolish man who built his house on sand.

27 It rained hard, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house. And it fell with a loud crash.

28 When Jesus finished speaking, the people were amazed at his teaching.

29 He did not teach like their teachers of the law. He taught like someone who has authority."

    Hallelujah! Praise God! Amen!

    Psalm 1:1-6

1 "Great blessings belong to those who don’t listen to evil advice, who don’t live like sinners, and who don’t join those who make fun of God.

2 Instead, they love the Lord’s teachings and think about them day and night.

3 So they grow strong, like a tree planted by a stream— a tree that produces fruit when it should and has leaves that never fall. Everything they do is successful.

4 But the wicked are not like that. They are like chaff that the wind blows away.

5 When the time for judgment comes, the wicked will be found guilty. Sinners have no place among those who do what is right.

6 The Lord shows his people how to live, but the wicked have lost their way."

    2 Timothy 3:1-5

Many People Will Stop Loving God

1 “Remember this: There are some terrible times coming in the last days.

People will love only themselves and money. They will be proud and boast about themselves. They will abuse others with insults. They will not obey their parents. They will be ungrateful and against all that is pleasing to God.

They will have no love for others and will refuse to forgive anyone. They will talk about others to hurt them and will have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good.

People will turn against their friends. They will do foolish things without thinking and will be so proud of themselves. Instead of loving God, they will love pleasure.

They will go on pretending to be devoted to God, but they will refuse to let that “devotion” change the way they live. Stay away from these people!”

Matthew 18:18  - “I can assure you that when you speak judgment here on earth, it will be God’s judgment. And when you promise forgiveness here on earth, it will be God’s forgiveness."

    1 John 2:15-17

15 "Love not the world, neither the things [that are] in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

16 For all that [is] in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth forever."

    Hallelujah! Praise God! Amen!

    Hebrews 4:12

Gods word is alive and working. It is sharper than the sharpest sword and cuts all the way into us. It cuts deep to the place where the soul and the spirit are joined. Gods word cuts to the center of our joints and our bones. It judges the thoughts and feelings in our hearts.

    Proverbs 4:20-22

My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.  For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.”

    MATTHEW 3:14-17

Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan River. He came to John, wanting John to baptize him. But John tried to stop him. John said, “Why do you come to me to be baptized? I should be baptized by you!”

Jesus answered, “Let it be this way for now. We should do whatever God says is right.” Then John agreed. So Jesus was baptized. As soon as he came up out of the water, the sky opened, and he saw God’s Spirit coming down on him like a dove. A voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, the one I love. I am very pleased with him.”

Then the Spirit led Jesus into the desert. He was taken there to be tempted by the devil. Jesus ate nothing for 40 days and nights. After this, he was very hungry.

The devil came to tempt him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these rocks to become bread.” Jesus answered him, “The Scriptures say, ‘It is not just bread that keeps people alive. Their lives depend on what God says.’”

Then the devil led Jesus to the holy city of Jerusalem and put him on a high place at the edge of the Temple area. He said to Jesus, “If you are the Son of God, jump off, because the Scriptures say, ‘God will command his angels to help you, and their hands will catch you, so that you will not hit your foot on a rock.’” Jesus answered, “The Scriptures also say, ‘You must not test the Lord your God.’”

Then the devil led Jesus to the top of a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and all the wonderful things in them. The devil said, “If you will bow down and worship me, I will give you all these things.” Jesus said to him,

Get away from me, Satan! The Scriptures say, You must worship the Lord your God. Serve only him!

So the devil left him. Then some angels came to Jesus and helped him."

    Amen!
